Musical Theatre Foundation Courses

(ages 3-9)


NMTA’s Foundation Course in Musical Theatre includes the 3 necessary aspects of musical theatre performance:


(Later, students may choose to develop one of these areas as the focus of NMTA’s Vocational Course.)

Students following the Foundation Course in Musical Theatre also acquire basic knowledge of music theory and music grammar as well as literature.

NMTA’s Musical Theatre Foundation Course is delivered in English and Russian languages.

Nika Shirocorad

Beginners / Foundation groups:

QThree terms per year; each term is typically ten weeks.

- 3-6 years

- 1.5 hours group tuition (£50) per week (2 x 45 min lessons)

Intermediate groups:

- 7 years and above

- 2 hours group tuition (£65) per week  (2 x 60 min lessons)

Any individual lesson-(£60) 60 min.

in total per week+£65 or £125 with one individual lesson

All categories / ages:

 Before joining NMTA, all students are required to attend an audition (15-20 mins, £15) where they will be asked to sing their favourite song in any style they choose.

LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts)

Exam Preparation Course:(£60) 60 min p/w

During the Foundation Course all students perform at least two times per year at London theatre venues at the end of Winter and Summer terms.

In 2017 NMTA will release two opera-musical productions:

Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass

Some Foundation students will be invited for regular participation in a workshops and may also have the opportunity to be selected for international cultural trips abroad, to participate in Theatre Festivals and Intensive Project Courses, Summer Workshops/Courses.
